Does bar soap cause hair loss?

I always use bar soap instead of shampoo, but I was told that bar soap extracts the oils out of your hair (since it's only meant for your skin using it as body wash) and eventually messes with your scalp health leading to hair loss.. any info? thanks a bunch!Does bar soap cause hair loss?
I don't think messing up the pH and oil of your scalp leads to hair loss so much as dandruff and dull-looking hair, but I don't know about the long run. Most soap will screw up the oils in your hair, yes.Does bar soap cause hair loss?
im not sure about hair loss but shampoo is probably a lot better than a bar of soap for you hair :) i would use shampoo instead
