Am I going bald at 17?

For about a year and a half my hair has been falling out. I would have to guess that about 50-100 strands of hair fall out each day. It still doesn't seem like I have any bald spots or anything. I still have a full head of hair. My dad is bald by my grandpa isn't. And when strands come out they always have like the root or something white attached to it on the end. I also always have flakes on my scalp. I have like a thin white layer on my scalp that when I scratch starts flaking. I have read that soaking my hair in apple cider vinegar will remove this layer and help my hair grow back. Is this true? I straighten my hair just about ever day too. Are those flakes, dandruff the ones causing my hair loss? Am I really going to go bald or is this normal? Will the apple cider vinegar really work? Any other remedies that will work?

Yeah, so you simply have like a thin white layer.Am I going bald at 17?
The clue is you're straightening your hair. If you're dyeing it also, that's a bonus of why you're going bald at 17. Everyone are blessed with beautiful healthy hair, and the penalty for abuse is what you're experiencing.

Stop abusing your hair and start putting food in your mouth where they belong, instead of your head.

Google the Pyramid Food Group, that could help your hair to get longer, stronger, and healthier.
I don't know, bro. My hair used to fall off too. What I did to stop it was I cut my hair shorter and changed my diet. A bad diet can cause your hair to fall off. My diet consisted of pure junk food - which is not just terrible for your hair but overall health. What I did was add in a few fruits to my diet and cut back on things like potato chips, burgers, and fry foods. I've read that fish is REALLY good for your hair.

Some advice: I suggest you stop heat-styling your hair. That means, no straightening your hair or blow drying it. Heat-styling makes your hair dry, which can cause your hair to fall off too. Also, try not to expose your hair to the sun too much - it has the same effect as a hair straightener. What shampoo do you use? Try buying a good shampoo - bad shampoo can cause dandruff. I recommend Pureology. You an buy it in salons.
Typical hair loss is 50-100 strands a day. Your grandpa has hair and your dad doesn't so I think it will skip your generation.
