How harmful is it to dye your hair & what can you do to keep the color longer!?/?

Okay so i dye my hair black...its naturally light brown-ish. I hadnt dyed it in a while but i just did a couple of days ago...

So i was just wondering, how harmful is it to dye ur hair??

Does it cause hair loss??

and also..what can i do to keep my hair black...i feel like after a couple of days it starts fading and starts looking light again...

Or what shampoo is great for dyed hair??

Thanks! :DHow harmful is it to dye your hair %26amp; what can you do to keep the color longer!?/?
When I dyed my hair black, I always used Natural Instincts temporary black. If your natural hair color is lighter than the color on the box, it's likely not going to wash out.

Any shampoo is good for dyed hair but steer clear of clarifying shamp. it can strip the color right out.

Dyeing the hair really never caused me any hair loss, it's when I bleached it that I had problems. How harmful is it to dye your hair %26amp; what can you do to keep the color longer!?/?
Don't dye ur hair, it is harmful

Over 50 million women in the US dye their hair regularly. Many more say they will once they start to turn gray, and many girls use hair dyes from an early age. However, there are risks associated with using these products. One of the main chemicals in most hair dyes has been banned in several European countries, and hair dye chemicals have been shown to have a variety of harmful effects in scientific experiments. Use of hair dye has been linked to allergic reactions, respiratory disorders and even cancer.

Why dye your hair at all? Natural, 'hair-color' hair is beautiful, and gray hair is beautiful too. Hair that is well cared for and styled will always look good, regardless of color.

Gray streaks add individuality and like any sign of aging, can be thought of as trophies of survival, rather than a negative. Embracing gray hair is a sign of self-acceptance and self-confidence. Special 'blue' shampoos can be used to keep gray hair bright and combat any brassy or yellow tints in gray hair.
You won't lose your hair but you may get split ends but usually thats mostly when you bleach it or use harsh hair dye. I don't know a specific kind of shampoo for dyed hair but lots of brands make versions that say ';for dyed and treated hair';

One girl I know dyes her hair a different color every month and it always looks good but shes a professional hairstylist and I don't know here secrets.
Depends if you die it once it probably like straigtning your hair 10 times

but if you do like every month then its really harmful like this

in a simple answer.. yes it does damage your hair.

It may damage some of your strands in the long run, cause your hair to become more brittle and rough looking but generally speaking it won't actually reduce the number of hairs on ur head..

You need colour enhancing shampoo and conditioner

it is best to use a salon quality one.. REDKEN do a great one.. as do most salon brands

good luck.
Think about the environment your screwing up too! The harmful chemicals washing down the drain. The packaging leftovers.

Cruel to the Earth!

Why can't you be natural?
