What Causes fatigue, strange bruising, hair loss ETC..?

I've Already been diagnosed with chronic iron deficiency Anemia, so i know that could explain someone of this bu i still would love other peoples opinions.

For the past few months i've been constantly cold, even when it's 80 degrees outside, i've been really tired and fatigued too regardless of how much sleep i get, i also have a lot of small random bruising all over my legs but i can't remember falling over or getting hurt, along with random small burst of upper side pain and chest pain on my left side, and i've been having some of my hair fall out lately. Not enough to be a significant problem....but i'm just looking for answer.

I'm also already taking an iron supplement for my anemia but it doesn't seem to be doing anything....just extra info for you. What Causes fatigue, strange bruising, hair loss ETC..?
You need to have your vitamin B12 level checked immediately. If it's not between 350-900, or if it goes down in 6 months, you probably have pernicious anemia and must be treated for it. Left untreated, pernicious anemia is fatal.

Pernicious anemia can cause those symptoms, as well as many others. Typically, folic acid deficiency is seen first, and then iron anemia. If not tested for the B12 level, most doctors treat patients only with folic acid and/or iron supplements, and the patients don't get better because they're still dying without the vitamin B12. B12 is necessary for most of the processes of the entire body, especially nerve and brain function. Most untreated people with p.a. die of heart attacks.

There can be a physical cause for B12 deficiency, as well as an autoimmune disease. Either way, treatment is typically an intermuscular shot in the hip/buttocks area monthly. Some people are able to use an intra-nasal gel called Nascobal, sublingual lozenges, or even high powered B12 supplements, but they must be monitored to see if the treatment is effective.

Most doctors know little about pernicious anemia because it's considered a rare disease. My sister literally might've had 4 months to live when she was diagnosed, after being misdiagnosed for over 8 years. They called her everything from hypochondriac to her having chronic fatigue syndrome or syphilis. Only after finding a wonderful internal medicine specialist was she diagnosed correctly, in her early 20's, and put on the road to recovery. I was diagnosed a year and a half later, also in my early 20's. We both have permanent nerve damage and back problems from where our B12 levels got so low, due to being mis- and un-diagnosed for almost a decade. (Under 350 is risking permanent spinal cord injury, and hers got to 192 and mine was 204 as our recorded lowest levels.)

Make sure to get your number. Don't let them just tell you ';it's normal.'; My new doctor tried to do that and my level had fallen over 400 points from where it was, in a year, because I wasn't being treated with B12 shots. Just because it was barely over 350, didn't mean that I didn't have pernicious anemia. Sure enough, he tested me more thoroughly to prove to himself that I did, indeed, have pernicious, and finally I was given the B12 shots that I so desparately needed. Always know your number. Oh, and don't let them give you the shot in your arm. Only the gluteus - butt muscle - is large enough to maintain the B12 throughout the month. I've had nurses and doctors try to give to me in my shoulder, which would be laughable, if it weren't my life on the line.

Hey don't be freaked out. Just go have your doctor test your vitamin B12 level, and if it's low, insist on being treated appropriately for it. :)
