Preemptive strike on hair loss?

I'm approaching my 30s and notice some of my friends are beginning to bald rather badly. This has caused me to pay attention to my hair. I currently have a full head of hair and want to keep it like that. My father is approaching 60 and has signs of balding, not too badly but it's still noticeable. On my mother's side my grandfather lived to 95 and wasn't bald but as you would expect didn't have a full head of hair either.

I've become rather preoccupied with closely analysing my hairline and have noticed a few hairs missing in two places in particular. They are right on my hairline and 2-3 strands of hair appear to be missing with no signs of regrowth. You can tell they're missing since they contrast to the surrounding area where hair is present. I know it sounds like i'm over-reacting but it's not in my nature to usually behave like this. Now I keep thinking that since the likes of Propecia do not regrow hair but maintain it i'd rather start using it now before I have any real hair loss than start once the problem has really settled in. Prevention being better than cure. Does anyone have any advice, especially based on experience.Preemptive strike on hair loss?
anyway as you know - hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago my husband suffered from hair loss too and he started trying everything you can imagine to stop his hair loss. the things that really worked for him was:

1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

5) also he used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for him!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

good luck!

I have been using a product called Provillus for a few months now and have been really happy with the results. My hair has been thinning since my late teens and I have been almost completely bald since about 21, so was really ecstatic to find a product that actually works.

I am sure there are some other natural products out there, but this is the only one that has worked for me.

Provillus is a natural product that allows men, and woman, to not only stop hair loss, but also regrow lost hair.

The manufacture is so sure their product works that they offer a 60 day free trial. If you do not see results, you do not need to pay for it.

  • What's causing my hair loss?

Okay, before anyone says anything, I am indeed aware of the fact that everyone loses a certain amount of hair every day. That being said, here's the deal. I'm only 14, and a week ago, as I was rinsing my hair, I noticed that every time I ran my hand through [my hair] I would end up with several, several, several, strands of hair around my fingers. That doesn't sound like much, but after brushing it, my hairbrush seemed as if I'd just brushed the coat of a shedding Border Collie. I dismissed it as a one-time thing and moved on. The next few days, though, I began to pay more attention and realized that I /was/ losing more hair than I used to.

I'm a healthy person, I watch what I eat and make sure I get all the vitamins I need. My hair, on my head and elsewhere, actually grows pretty quickly. I'm thinking maybe it's got something to do with my shampoo, since I've heard some pretty awful things about sodium laureth sulfate, but that's probably unlikely to be the cause.

    Anyway...

Any ideas as to what's going on with my hair?

Or am I just worrying too much?

Thanks in advance. :)What's causing my hair loss?
    looks like it is stress!!!

are you possibly under alot of stress?

becuase stress is a major part of hair loss, either/or i say you make an appointment with the docter.

What would cause sudden hair loss?

I'm a 33 y/o male with a slightly receding hairline, and I always buzz my hair short with electric clippers once every 2 weeks or so.

Last time I cut my hair, I noticed severe hair thinning and incipient hair loss quite a ways up onto my scalp. I did not notice any thinning in these spots the previous time that I had cut my hair, so it seems that it is very sudden (became blatantly noticeable within a period of less than 2 weeks). What could cause such a rapid thinning? Has time just finally caught up with me?What would cause sudden hair loss?

DHT and androgen are the most common causes of hair loss. DHT is a type of hormone that helps in the sexual development of an individual from birth to puberty. The real problem occurs when hormones and genes start to be altered which in turn affects the growth of hair follicles. The DHT and the androgen receptors that exist in the healthy hair follicles join together. When men reach a certain age, these processes may change. There could be an extraordinary production of DHT which then causes imbalance in the hair shafts and the entire biology of the hair.

Sudden stress may cause it. I use a anti-thinning shampoo and a rogain foam to help slow mine. I'm 27 and so far so good

Is it possible to experience permanent hair loss/baldness without having a receding hairline?

My hair has been thinning out over the top of my head and the crown (the sides and lower rear of the head are fine), but my hairline hasn't receded at all. It's been going on since September of last year, and I'm not entirely sure of what the cause is.

Is it possible this is male pattern baldness, even though there's no receding? Is it possible to experience permanent hair loss/baldness without having a receding hairline?
    yes! it is possible!

For a lot of men hair loss begins with a patch on the top rear portion of the head and it is the begining of male pattern baldness. I would think that this condition must run in your family. There is no time like the present to nip this in the bud as they say. This is probably just the begining of progressive hair loss. High levels of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) are usually the cause for men. Treatments are available to reduce these levels and actually promote regrowth.
    Hey,

This is very likely male pattern baldness. Male pattern baldness does not start with receding hair loss it actually starts with the top of the head. I was also suffering hair loss on top of the head and the crown just like you. I wanted to cure my hair loss using a shampoo rather than one of those harmful pills. If you also wanna go this way then please use an SLES Free shampoo. Most regular shampoos have this chemical called SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate). This chemical is the primary cause of hair loss. Then why do companies use SLES as the base ingredient ? Answer is simple, becuase it is cheap. Change to a herbal shampoo as soon as possible and stop putting harmful chemicals on your scalp.

The shampoo that has helped me in stopping hair loss and filling up the bald patches is Zulvera. It can be found at http://www.herbalhairshampoo.com . For more information you can also check: http://www.golden-reviews.com/hairloss
It's mostly genetic. Look at where your father/grandfather were balding. It doesn't necessarily mean receding hairline. Many men actually begin balding in other places first. (see below, its common)
Male pattern badness does not necessarly mean it starts with a receding hairline.

Is there a reason for this hair loss?

Well, i'm a girl and i loose SO much hair all day long.

Like, if i feel a tickle on my arm or something, i just know that more hair has fallen out and landed on my arm.

The carpets are covered in it and it gets stuck between my toes when i walk on the carpets and it makes me wanna puke.

LOL, anyway, is there any good reason that i am loosing all this hair? i have long hair so maybe everyone sheds this much, but i just notice because my hair is longer??..

I talked to my friends and they loose their hair too, they say alot, but it's not as much as mine.

Someone else said stress causes that.. and i am very stressed, all the time.

does anyone else loose TONS of hair?

I don't feel my hair getting thinner, but i have lost a handful a day probably.

If you have thick long hair your putting to much stress on your hair and need to cut it shorter and get it thinned out. Also you could have cradle cap wear skin cells and shampoo builds up and mats your hair and causes it to fall out. i reccomend going to a salon and just asking someone i dout they will charge you for it. If it is cradle cap then go by a special brush. this brush will fit on your middle finger like a ring and has plastic thick bristles they usuallly cost a dollar. and you use them while showering.

Is Hair Loss caused by Hyperthyroidism reversable if treated?

A symptom of Hyperthyroidism (Hyperthyroidism is a condition in which the thyroid gland is overactive, and makes too much thyroid hormone (called thyroxine [T4 ] and triiodothyronine [T3 ]). Hormones are substances that affect and control many important functions in the body.) is hair loss. And its totally curable by

    Antithyroid medications

Radioactive iodine (which destroys the thyroid and stops the excess production of hormones)

    Surgery to remove the thyroid

But Im wondering, would hair grow back if it was treated or would it just stop whats happened so far?

like its fish scales if i try and scrap it off it comes off. It hurts to. I have alot of hair loss.

Could it be the hyperthyroid or the high testosterone?

Would it causes scalp that looks shiny like fish scales ? its not in my hair its on the scalp ?My scalp look scaley and shiny like ...?
The best person to answer this question is your doctor/dermatologist/tricologist, But personally i think you can try some of the tips for hair loss.Following are a few,

1.Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables, which contain flavonoids and antioxidants that may provide protection for the hair follicles and encourage hair growth

2.Avoid pigtails, cornrows, hair weaves, braids and tight hair rollers which can pull and stress your hair

3.# Supplement your diet with the following nutrients:

    * Vitamin B complex (Category A)

    * Biotin (Possibly safe; orally and appropriately)

    * Vitamin C (Category A)

    * Vitamin E ( Likely safe if amount does not exceed the RDA; possibly safe if it does)

    * Zinc (Likely safe when used orally and appropriately; likely unsafe when used orally in high doses)

4.Use shampoos and conditioner that contain biotin and silica.

Lastly if you want something that i already used and shows a good result on me for my hair loss problem . Visit http://www.EliminateBaldingFast.com

Spots on a CAT scan of the brain?

My mother in law recently went to the hospital complaining of shivers, headaches, hairloss, and the left side of her body - scalp to toes - were tingling. She finally got a CAT scan done and the doctor said there were spots on her brain in the images. Blood tests all came back negative for anything and they can't find anything wrong with her pretty much at all.

About 2 days before being admitted, she stopped taking her medication completely. Meds for pain, anxiety, panic attack, etc. because she thought those were what was causing her hair loss.

Apparently she didn't think to ask the doctor what the spots meant. Does anyone have any ideas? They want to do a spinal tap on her and see what that shows. Also to test for MS.Spots on a CAT scan of the brain?
My mother had those tests done for the same reason. She has several spots about the size of walnuts. They diagnosed her with MS. She had been having mini strokes called T.I.A.'s That caused her to have headaches, and numbness and tingling. Now, she has had so many that they have begun to affect her memory. I don't leave my child alone with her anymore because she forgot her once and left her at a car dealership. She forgets which side is hot and which is cold on the faucet. She was very upset about the eventual downturn to her physical abilities. She has a friend that was diagnosed 3 years ago who is now unable to walk and has extremely limited vision. She no longer has that fear since she has had an additional condition that means she won't be around long enough to experience those effects. She is actually okay about that, because she has always been a very independent and very active person who reads constantly. I am not saying that is what is wrong with your mother in law, I couldn't know that. I just wanted to warn you about the scary part of the diagnosis so you will be prepared for it if that is what is actually wrong. She will need lots of love and support in that situation. It is a very scary thought. I cannot imagine how I would react if someone told me I would eventually be unable to walk, read, or even talk! I would suggest that you not let her look too much into the disease until she gets her diagnosis, my mom was terrified by the time she got her diagnosis. She was making herself sick as she studied about it. I hope it is a pinched nerve, and that she will be fine! I will keep my fingers crossed that she is just having a bad reaction to her shampoo or something lol!.Spots on a CAT scan of the brain?
She could be having hairline bleeds from tiny aneurysms that are breaking , She could have

possible something more serious like Central Nervous

system Cancer or possibly a brain cancer

She could have the start of Alzheimer's disease which is putting tiny deposits of plaque on her brain or maybe dementia , these symptoms can go a long time before a diagnosis is made , Also Picks disease is similar to Alzheimer's disease symptoms

Honestly where did the complexion thing come from. I never looked at other ppl skin complexion when I was?

young true. I knew it was white ppl and black ppl and p.ricans, I was color blind growing up. I knew how they didn't have alot of blacks on tv, now Im knowing why. Anywho I knew this girl from grade school she made my life a living hell(1 lil girl now I think back and laugh)we kind of friends now, she got a nose job, about to get a tummy tuck and also got teeth bonding. We talked about who we like in elementry. She said she never liked dark skin guys back then, she's dark skin. I always wonder why she treated me mean Im not light just lighter than her.

I would like to know how did she know about dark skin and light skin is a difference at the young age? As I got older even in h.s. I never thought someone was nice looking cause of their skin. I just called them cute didnt think the color played a part. Now I feel kind of loss(thank god that mentally I didnt see growing up).

even the hair plays a part. I rock an afro at times men still try and talk to me, some ppl laugh, some ppl think how dare I for loving myself and my hair.

I have black features(duh Im black) Ive been told Im pretty by all races. my features compliment each other. so lately Im thinking about features and how ppl make it wrong to have the features they are born with or feel guilty. now I think Im kind of feeling it, dont know why. I never looked in the mirror and just hated my face. it wasn't because I thought Im suppose to look another way. Just if I looked, I dont know it's million of faces out there and I want the face that would give me the most handsome, rich, intelligent man that's out there. So I can have some beautiful children as long as they look good never mind the complexion or hair type. they can have some cute afro puffs. you feel me.

Once Again why wasn't this brought to my attention when I was young. And I heard and know some men are like this too.Honestly where did the complexion thing come from. I never looked at other ppl skin complexion when I was?
I think it's quite simple. Irresponsibility of the media and parents. Some fail at their jobs others succeed. I'm glad that I'm not racist. I would be missing out if I were.

    Check this out about complexions!!!!

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/locaHonestly where did the complexion thing come from. I never looked at other ppl skin complexion when I was?
you know what you can have children any color by any man and as long as you install God and positivity in them, not teaching them hatred towards people that are different from them. i see children of all races beautiful. people are teaching hatred and racism in their children this is how it is continuing on.

http://www.trichozed.infoIs There A Vitamin Deficiency That Can Cause Some Slight Hair Loss?
Yes, there is. I got a similar problem. I asked my dermatologist, and he said hair loss can cause by genetic, stress, or low iron and biotin in blood. I took a blood test to check my iron level, and the result showed that my iron level was below average. The doctor suggested to eat a healthy food (lot of vegetables b/c it has lot of iron), exercise regularly, and take multivitamins for three months. Then I need to take another blood test to see my iron level. Hope that will help you.
One of the things women need to be aware of is their nutrition. Vitamins are essential tools in caring for your body. In proper balance, vitamins help keep the body in as a healthy a state as possible. Not having enough of certain vitamins can cause any number of health conditions including hair loss. Hair loss, women, and vitamin deficiency is a bad connection.

Vitamin A is stored in the liver. If too much is consumed, the excess will be stored in other parts of the body. This could cause symptoms such as headaches, nausea, lethargy, headaches and hair loss. Too little vitamin A can cause coarse hair and dry skin. Food sources of vitamin A include cabbage, apricots, carrots, peaches, eggs, milk, cheese, and even fish liver oil.

Vitamin E is important in hair loss. Vitamin E is said to be helpful in preventing the loss of hair and in stalling the process of hair going gray. Food sources of vitamin E are green leafy vegetables, seeds, dried beans, nuts, and spinach to name a few. Your blood pressure could rise when taking vitamin E so it suggested that if you have high blood pressure that you talk to your doctor before taking vitamin E.

Inositol is a B vitamin found in citrus fruits, whole grains, liver, and in yeast. An inositol deficiency can not only cause hair loss, but eczema as well. It is important in keeping the scalp and hair healthy. As an added benefit, it has also been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels.

Vitamin H is also known as Biotin. Like vitamin E, it helps to prevent hair loss and the graying of hair. Biotin is found in food sources such as egg yolk, kidney, liver, yeast, and milk. It may also be of benefit in nail health and skin health.

Vitamin B group vitamins related to hair loss are B3, B5, and B12. Vitamin B 3 is found in meats, fish, wheat germ and brewer's yeast. Vitamin B 5 is found in egg yolk, meats, and yeast. Vitamin B6 is found in bananas, white and sweet potatoes, as well as spinach.

Eating fresh fruits and vegetables particularly citrus fruits and tomatoes are good sources of folic acid. Eating whole and fortified grain products and beans (lentils) are also sources of folic acid.

Consuming protein is also very good for keeping your hair healthy. Most people tend not to eat enough protein. It can be found in meat, fish, chicken, soy, and eggs. At least one serving per day should be eaten.

There are trace minerals that can benefit your hair such as zinc. It is helpful to take a multivitamin that also contains such trace minerals. The Daily Recommended Allowance is listed on the label.

Deficiencies of these vitamins and minerals can cause a multitude of health conditions. This includes hair loss. This can be prevented by taking the proper amount and eating a healthy diet. On the other hand, consuming too high a dose of them can also cause health conditions. Your doctor or a nutritionist can help you to decide what the proper amount for your needs is appropriate.

    Conclusion

Vitamins as well as trace minerals are an integral part of maintaining healthy hair. Hair loss, women, and vitamin deficiency are preventable with the intake of the proper amounts of vitamins as well as some trace minerals. A healthy diet may not provide the daily recommended allowance and it is advised that you should take a multivitamin supplement. Some types of hair loss can be prevented; others can be treated.

Yes, their are hair loss reasons due to diet. See a qualified hair loss professional in your area for treatment options.
A lot of times hair loss like that can be caused by stress and hormonal changes, a thyroid issue, or low iron.

If it happens a lot around your rag- it's probably a little bit of most of the above. If it worries you, check with a doctor.
ur hair can come out if you have low iron. (hemoglobin)

but if you dont have that, then you can take some biotin.

it helps hair grow, and it keeps hair healthy.
It is not uncommon for your hair to fall out for natural reasons, but if you really are concerned, consult your doctor.

Can hair loss be a result of scalp problems?

I鈥檝e had flaky and itchy scalp for the past 2 years, and I have I鈥檝e noticed my hair getting thinner, could this be caused by excess scratching of the scalp? I鈥檝e noticed when my hair falls out there is excess skin on the follicle. Can hair loss be a result of scalp problems?
    yes! of course!

you should try to stop your hair loss!

and get rid of your scalps itchiness!

anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons! Find out the actual cause of hair loss! There are many causes of loss of hair such as stress, poor nutrition ,medications, thyroid dysfunctions, illness, fungal infections ,hormonal problems, to mention a few.

year ago I suffered from hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.

the things that really worked for me was:

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.info/why.php

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

not only my and my husband`s own personal experienceCan hair loss be a result of scalp problems?
Yes. A healthy scalp is very much essential for healthy hair growth. There are many reasons for dry, unhealthy scalp. It can be due to stress or if you had long illness.

Hormonal problems may also cause hair loss with a dry scalp. If your thyroid gland is overactive or under active, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgen and estrogen, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

Certain infections can cause hair loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss over time.

There are many hair growth products in the market. But one should be sure that they comply with the US Drug Administration guidelines because some products may cause side effects.

Once you have your hair back, use certain essentials oils on regular basis to keep your scalp healthy. Over the years it will maintain your scalp and you will have healthy and strong hair.
Hair Loss can be caused by many reasons. Best thing to do at first signs of hair loss, is go to a local doctor to figure out the cause, and then you can work on hair loss treatment options.
1st of all, dont panic! Hair always grows back. Ppl lose 100 hairs a day, but if its more than that, you should prob call a doctor, to get a blood test to see if you have enough iron. Take a multivitamin, when I had hairloss, even flinstones helped lol. Biotin is an essential mineral for growth. Hair loss can be from over washing/blowdrying, too much grease in hair, too much brushing, stress, and most importantly poor diet. Make sure you eat right, and enough. This is why people with anorexia experience hair loss. Also, be gentle with it, and drink LOTS of water, it helps, trust me. But yes, hair loss can also be from scalp issues like dandruff and lice.
Well i think the scratching may be a contributor but i think you might need to use a dandruff treatment. I used a product from provillus but its more for balding hair. It works thought so you might want to try it out, the first 2 months are free so if it doesnt you can just return the product for your money back.
    Hi there,

It does contribute to the problem. The best thing that i can recommend is lathering your scalp with extra virgin olive oil and massage your scalp daily.
Here i s an excellent site with some wonderful options for you. It will definitely help you. Have a look. http://nurse22.notlong.com/4AAjMMl

not only my and my husband`s own personal experience
  • body mask
  • I dont get my period anymore?

I'm an eighteen year old female and a student in college. I exercise a lot and burn around 500-1000 calories a day (i usually run outside). i eat between 1200 and 1800 calories a day with an occasional day where i'll eat 2000 if my friends and i go out. i eat healthy protein and fiber rich foods, and get around 8 hours of sleep. my bmi is 18.5. i used to be bulimic but i haven't thrown up in around half a year, but i never feel full so eating that amount of calories is hard. i haven't had my period in a few months so i recently started exercising less (burning around 300-600 calories a day instead of 1000) .Also, for the last few years, i have experienced a lot of hair loss and i continue to experience this (its so much that it clogs the drain when i shower). are my eating/exercising habits really that bad and are they causing my hair loss and lack of period? are these things all interconnected? what can be done?I dont get my period anymore?
You aren't getting your period because of your exercising and diet.. you may think you're being healthy but you are being too much. and 18.5 BMI is not a healthy weight to be at. Even though you stopped throwing you still have a disorder. You are being too obsessive about working out and eating healthy. You need to see your doctor and work out a plan for you.I dont get my period anymore?
It is possible that your exercise habbits are what are causing your problem, however with the hair loss this sounds more like an endocrine problem. See your doctor right away, and have your thyroid levels tested.

Hair loss due to nutrient deficiency does not usually occur until you reach critical levels (and you were right to cut down on your exercise). Improper diet can result in thyroid problems, which can continue even when the eating habbits have been corrected.
You're pregnant. Jesus, didn't you go to middle school health? Plus, shouldn't you be asking a doctor and not people you don't even know who will most likely give you false answers.
I think you need some professional help. You don't get your period because you don't eat correctly.. the hair loss could also be from not eating.

Is There Something Wrong with my Dog?

My Dog has been out of sorts recently. He is a Yorkshire Terrier and is almost One. He has had many Problems in Different Situations.

    1. When we got him, he had certain Bowl Problems. He could not Release Waste Properly. Mostly Through Constipation and the hair on his bottom making it very painful to go. Although i spent about 2 Hours Shaving his Behind and Feeding him wheatabix, The Situation has barely Changed. He still Finds Himself Having trouble with the hair on his bottom and the Size the waste is coming out at. I am loosing Options on what to do. I cannot keep bathing him then spending hours getting it off his behind. To make it worst Today he couldn't even lift his legs nor sit down. Anyone?

    2. Throat: During the Few First weeks of having our Dog, we were moving a old couch out. He is 'spooked' by anything that changes in the house and jumped at my father's Legs. In shock he dropped the chair were it landed on his Neck. He could not breath properly and we took him vet. She gave him a anti-inflammatory needle which helped. Although a week later he started acting strange. He does a odd kind of cough/choke. He repeats this about three times although he does not cough anything up. He also does a strange belching repeatably. Although the vet claims hes fine. But every time i take him a walk i know the vets wrong. He does a REALLY Loud choking noise when trying to run ahead of the lead. It sounds like a really croaky duck noise. I think its serious and need advice or help. Anyone?

    3. He is Lactose Intolerant. No matter what i do. He always gets his hands on chocolate. Floor, bins, cups, dishes, next door, garden, bin bags. So he comes in and vomits. Its not a good lifestyle as chocotlate causes cancer and vomit causes weight loss. He really is strange, he will eat anything, but once chocolate or chewing gum comes into the question he will hunt it down. He takes gum off shoes, wrappers and bins. Its very hard to beat him. We have taken action with Proper Metal Bins for the garden. We have cut off any openings to others gardens and kept chocolate off the floor. Though he still comes vomiting from chocolate. Is there anything i can do??? Anyone?

Any Advice on anything here????? Please Reply ASAP tyty.Is There Something Wrong with my Dog?
    1) Feed him a better diet. Never weetabix or any other inappropriate cereal. I prefer a species specific raw diet to commercial food, but there are perhaps better commercial foods you could find. Keep his coat short and groom him regularly so that faeces does not become entangled in his coat.

    2) The strange noise could be reverse sneezing. If he does this, just hold your hand gently over his nose for a few seconds until he takes air in through his mouth and this will clear it. He may have an elongated soft palate which is causing this, but usually it is not life threatening. Your dogs is choking because it is pulling hard on the collar and lead. swap the collar for a harness and train it not to pull.

    3) All dogs are lactose intolerant. They should not be given milk. Chocolate is a different thing altogether and is poisnous to dogs. Your dog should NEVER be allowed to eat chocolate, it could kill him. Google it ! Tidy up, clear up, do not leave wrappers or chocolate anywhere the dog can get to them., He is only little so that should not be difficult. Remove bins that he cam get to. Tidy your garden up and do not leave rubbish out.

The above advice is only due to you saying your vet has examined th dog and found nothing wrong, if you are still worried ask for a second opinion.

#Is There Something Wrong with my Dog?
Why not see a canine internal medicine vet? Your vet can refer you to one. No one here is qualified to diagnose your dog's many problems. i would never trust my dog's health to total strangers online, so why do you?
He's an overly curious puppie, who's probably not going to survive. Sorry Mate, but Darwinism is real, your dog is proving it
    Seek help from a veterinarian.

Seek help from an animal behaviorist and/or dog trainer.
Chocolate will kill your dog--you need to do everything in your power to keep any and all chocolate from your dog. Seriously--it is not a matter of 'cancer'. Chocolate contains theobromine which is deadly to dogs--especially little ones.

As for the 'honking' duck noise--many small breeds get 'reverse sneezing' which causes this. My chihuahua gets it sometimes.

they can also get a collapsed trachea and should wear a harness--not a collar. A harness keeps the pressure OFF their throat.

As for the other bowel situation--dogs cannot digest the enzyme in dairy--so they should not have dairy.

he needs fiber, poor little guy. I'm surprised the vet didn't give you sound advice as to what to do.

Canned pumpkin is something that may help.

    **************************************br>
    Copying this from another site on constipation and dogs;

There are several home remedies for treating constipation in dogs. You need only choose one.

A good source of dietary fiber is Grape-Nuts Flakes. For a dog the size of yours, try one teaspoon mixed into her food (twice or three times a day) until the constipation clears. If you don't see improvement in a day or two, you can try 2 teaspoons. Better going slow, than over-doing it and giving your dog diarrhea.

Canned pumpkin (pure pumpkin, the kind used in pies) is an excellent source of fiber that can make your dog regular again, plus most dogs seem to really enjoy it. Try mixing a a teaspoon or two into your pet's food, or just let her lick it off the spoon.

Another choice is powdered psyllium seed (1 teaspoon with meals), or mineral oil on a short-term basis for a large fecal buildup (1 tsp to 2 tsp added to food twice a day for no more than a week). Mineral oil should not be used longer than that because it removes vitamin A from the body and the dog may become dependent on it for elimination. Milk of magnesia (up to 2 tbsp a day) may also be used.

Another simple constipation cure is increased exercise, which will massage internal organs and increase blood flow in the colon. Taking your dog out for at least 20 minute to romp twice times a day is an excellent to get her system moving in the right direction.

Some dogs get constipated simply because they haven't had the time or opportunity to go. The longer your pet keeps it in, the hardier and drier the stool gets. That can lead to problems fairly quickly. It's important to give your pets many of potty time. Again, try to let your dog out several times a day.

You didn't say what you're feeding your puppy. Vets recommend buying pet food that contains 7 to 13 percent fiber. You'll find the fiber percentage on the label. Regularly eating a high-fiber diet, your pet may never be constipated again.

If the constipation does not clear up within a two days of whichever treatment you try, or your dog shows signs of serious pain then you should take her to the vet or a thorough examination.

    **************************************br>
Hope this helps. Look up reverse sneeze and tracheal collapse for more info. Goood luck
wow... we've got a lot of issues here...

first... it sounds like your dog may have a GI problem...

second... maybe his stools are too big?

Is there something that the vet has prescribed to help soften his stools?

Have you tried taking him to the groomer to get his rear shaved good?

    I know it's a lot of work.

Now... on to the other problems... are you sure it's chocolate he's eating?

Try taking him to a trainer who can specalize in your dogs behaviour...

    Mabe he's bored?

as for the coughing... I'd take him to another vet and have an XRay done...

maybe when the chair fell on him it moved smething in his throat...

Pleas take good care of this special dog and ensure he gets the best care possible...

Oh another thing too, could there be a genetic problem with the dog and the stools or have a deformity in his GI area?
First thing I would do is change vets. The problem with constipation and not sitting down? That is a bowel/intestinal problem. This could very well be serious. He needs a fecal, blood work and xrays.

The throat thing sounds like a collapsed trachea. What can be done for it I don't know but certainly do NOT walk him with a collar. Use a harness.

The fear thing is related to his health issues. When a dog is sick, not feeling well his behavior will become erratic. The eating 'anything' is probably also directly related to his physical issues.

I also recommend feeding a very high quality of dog food. Once you get to a good vet, change his food if you are feeding a less than an excellent food with no additives or fillers.

Call around and find a better vet. Insist on what I suggested above and absolutely have his trachea checked.

Good luck and let me know what happens if you can. I am concerned for this poor little guy.

Hey Lindsay? Open up for email. I want to talk to you.
Throat problems sound like collapsed trachea which is very common in yorkies. Don't use a collar for walking %26amp; no over excitement.

Vet for his digestive/bowel issues though what is going in is his probably his problem. Get a 2nd opinion if you aren't getting answers from your current vet.

Dogs are lactose intolerant which is why milk is a bad idea. Chocolate is toxic %26amp; sugarless gum can be also. Keeping everything away from dog is part of dog-proofing your home %26amp; part of training for dog. Keeping dog out of trash is the owner job %26amp; responsibility %26amp; part of his health issues.

No, it is unlikely that it is the cause of your hair loss because it is sometimes prescribed to prevent hair loss.
I am not sure bout Spironolactone, but if you are experiencing hair loss maybe you should try hair transplant surgery, $6000-$7000 is the cost depending on the location.
    hmm not sure .

not only my and my husband`s own personal experienceHow can u prevent hair loss?
Dandruff is one of the most common ailments today and plagues countless millions of people every single day. Dandruff is easily recognizable by the white flakes that appear in the hair and then on the shoulders. It is often accompanied by a chronic itching of the scalp and can be caused by any number of things. Luckily, you can prevent dandruff or clear it up quickly without much expense and usually without having to seek medical attention.

    1. Shampoo your hair on a regular basis. Shampooing is often the easiest and most effective way to prevent dandruff. It cleans your hair, invigorates follicles, reduces the oily buildup that can lead to embarrassing dandruff flakes and prevents excess cells from accumulating on your scalp.

    2. Spend some time each day outdoors in the sunlight. Human skin needs sunlight in order to produce certain essential vitamins and the skin of your scalp is no exception. Getting just a little sun on your scalp each day will help keep it healthy, but you must be careful to avoid sunburn--just like with any other part of your body.

    3. Stop using styling products in your hair, or at the very least reduce the amount and frequency of use. All styling products, from gels to sprays, will contribute to the build up of oil on your scalp, and the more you use the more you will contribute to dandruff.

    4. Exercise regularly and eat a well-balanced, healthy diet. Proper nutrition and exercise are two of the most important things you can do for your health and should be part of a comprehensive plan to combat any health problem, even something as commonplace and non-life threatening as dandruff.

    5. Research homeopathic and all-natural methods for reducing dandruff. Natural remedies for dandruff can include things like tea tree oil-based shampoos or getting the right amount of zinc in your diet.

    6. Prevent dandruff with the use of special dandruff shampoos. Medicated dandruff shampoos are plentiful and are regularly available at almost all pharmacies or grocery stores. There are many different brands of over-the-counter dandruff shampoos (though most have the same active ingredients). Using a dandruff shampoo as directed for a period of time should clear it up without much hassle.

    7. Talk to your doctor about getting a prescription dandruff shampoo and discuss other ways to prevent dandruff if the problem persists and over-the-counter dandruff shampoos don't clear it up.

Hair loss occurs for a wide range of reasons, such as poor nutrition, illness, and stress. However, it is most commonly due to genetics. Some individuals are more prone to hair loss than others. While hair loss is more common in men, women experience it as well. There are various things you can do to discourage hair loss. In most instances, you will not be able to stop it but you can slow it down with careful treatment.

    1. See your doctor. In some instances, hair loss may be due to hormonal imbalances or fungal infections. Your doctor can prescribe medication to either stabilize your hormone levels or treat the infection. In other instances, hair loss may be due to an underlying disease, such as diabetes or lupus. It's important for your doctor to rule out this possibility before you proceed with hair loss treatments.

    2. Check your medications. Hair loss is a common side effect of various medications. If you are experiencing hair loss due to a particular medication, the hair loss should subside once you stop taking the medication. Talk to your doctor about alternative medications.

    3. Try hair loss medication. Most require a doctor's prescription. Usually taken orally, these medications help to stop hair loss. You can also try an over-the-counter topical treatment for hair loss, such as Rogaine. With both prescription and over-the-counter hair loss medication, you must continue using the treatment to get results.

    4. Use firm pressure to massage your scalp daily for approximately 5 minutes. Massage encourages circulation, allowing essential nutrients and blood to reach hair follicles, which helps them function properly and may stimulate latent hair follicles to grow hair again.

    5. Eat a well-balanced diet. Poor nutrition can contribute to hair loss. Make sure you get adequate nutrition daily, preferably from fresh food sources. You can also supplement your diet with a daily multi-vitamin.

    6. Take Biotin. This natural nutrient supports hair health and can slow hair loss. Take 50 mg of Biotin 3 times per day for best results. You can take it in supplement form, though it also occurs naturally in various foods, such as green peas, oats, and walnuts.

    Hope that helped :)
You probably are experiencing vitamin/mineral deficiency and need to get yourself checked by a physician. However until then...you may want to start yourself on a multivitamin that contains iron...try to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day...also try taking Biotin..its great for hair and nails. For your scalp...it is a dermatologists that you would need to consult. But something you could also do in the meantime is shampoo your head with a shampoo product that contains zinc oxide..then another one that contains selenium sulfide..and one that contains tar. Do all 3 back to back 1 time daily for 2 weeks. Use a LIGHT rinse-out conditioner afterwards. Usually this works...if not.. it is then that you may need a prescription for something more effective.
Yes it is one of the cause for hair fall. To keep dandruff away, take a tablespoon of lemon juice with 2 tablespoon of coconut oil, massage it well on scalp and hair regularly.Wash your hair with warm water. More simple remedies for dandruff at http://usefulinfo-dandruff.blogspot.com/

Am I losing my hair due to damage or due to natural hair loss, or something else?

I am 20 years old, I have been straightening my hair for 4 years and dyeing every six months for the last 4 years as well. I eat poorly, and I have hairsprayed my hair for 6 months now, my hair follicles have gotten thinner and alittle bit less in numbers, but my hairline has receded alittle bit, mostly right by my ears though. and alittle on my temporal region. Ive researched alot, and found that it could be temporary due to the damage I've done to it. my father, mother, and theyre siblings all had full heads of hair, my grandparents as well, except for my opa, whos hairline was receeded cause he was 86 no one lost hair around my age

so I just want other opinions on the matter

what do you think?Am I losing my hair due to damage or due to natural hair loss, or something else?
anyway as we know hair loss can be caused by many different reasons!

    1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;

    2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;

    3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;

    4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);

    5) also I used herbal treatment - TrichoZed

It is a good product that helps prevent hair loss and it is an FDA approved product. I think it is very important!

It worked and still works for me!

I do not know if any pharmacies carry TrichoZed but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.trichozed.com/?id=fc7a24

It enhances hair growth by blocking DHT (Dihydrotestostrone) - a major cause of hair loss!

    good luck!

not only my and my husband`s own personal experienceAm I losing my hair due to damage or due to natural hair loss, or something else?
Well take a look at the ppl. that you're hanging around with.

    (school, work, etc.)

    Not to sound paranoid.

When I was 19, I was working as a hostess in a restaurant and I lost a lot of my hair. It started when I would put my hair up in a pony-tale and there were bold spots.

    Then it became thinner.

At a point it looked whispy.

I even asked the kids I babysat for since I knew they would give me an honest answer and they agreed that I had lost a lot of hair.

I was really upset and it got to a point where half of my hair was gone.

Then one day, I asked the waitress with the yellow greenish eyes and bright red hair what her necklace was.

She told me it was just a star with a circle her mother gave her for balance in her life.

I told my mom and she explained it was a pentegram.

My mom gave me a blue bead to wear which wears off evil but it didn't work.

We're Catholic but my mom does believe in this to a certain extent.

I decided to leave the restaurant and never look back.

My face was also really dry...to the point where my liquid cover-up would not blend in my face.

It looked like I put a load of makeup on my face.

I even stopped wearing makeup for a while.

My hair grew back and my face became soft again since skin sheds.

I don't know if I really believe witchcraft is real but I got my beauty back after I stopped working there.

Its just something to think about.

So if you are around ppl. who practice witchcraft or believe in that as their religion, get away from them.

Sorry if I creeped you out but this is just my experience and wanted to share it with you.

Just because you eat poorly does not mean your hair will fall out.

I ate more after high school and this happened to me.

Never in high school when I barely ate anything.
Well to start off, you lose about 100-150 (tops) hairs every day. Hair sheds naturally, especially with age too, however I personally think you're still young enough and shouldn't be having these problems. I recommend getting some vitamins in you, at least take a multivitamin every day, if you don't want to eat enough. It could also be stress, and personal lifestyles, like smoking/drinking heavily. When it comes to damage, it can also play a big role when it comes to how your hair sheds, and the quality. Start buying hair treatments (try getting some with natural ingredients) and stop straightening your hair so much. Don't use so much chemicals on your hair, and make sure you use heat protective sprays/balms before styling/using hot tools.

I recommend these vitamins that you can get at Sephora or maybe other beauty stores:

    Help with my story please?

okay so i have the antagonist, and my two protagonists, and i am having issues with what the antagonist should do. Here is a description of him. Also if you could give me your input on the characters that would be great.

    Matthew Ross

    Age: 255 (23)

    Height: Taller, 5’10”- 6’

    Skin tone: Very pale

    Hair: Dark Brown

    Eyes: Deep red

    Face: Harder, but still handsome

Body type: Thinner, but more defined muscles than Damien.

    Significant qualities: Vampire

Characteristics/History: when he was younger he was very introverted. After he was changed he became very extroverted. Since he was born it was obvious that he was different. He was often found talking to himself or would lose his temper with people for no reason. He was often cruel to the other children when they tried to get close to him. His parents became very frustrated with him and became very strict towards him. The only who seemed to accept him was his brother Damien. Matthew’s metal illness became more prominent after he was changed, but yet he seemed to be more aware of his actions.

I can't quite decide what i want him to do to cause conflict in the story. I don't want it to be anything too extreme, but yet i can't think of anything that big enough. I don't want my story to be strict, ';good vs. evil'; any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Here are my protagonists if that helps. They do not become lovers, just good friends.

    Evelyn Shay

    Age: 18

    Height: Short, 5’2”-5’4”

    Skin tone: pale, but healthy

    Hair: shoulder length, layered, black

    Eyes: Ice blue

    Face: oval, classic beauty

Body type: medium build, not fat, not skinny either. Curvy.

    Significant qualities: Witch

Characteristics/History: Very introverted. She is very hard on the outside and has trust issues because of the loss of her mother when she was 14. When her mother died she was left alone to fend for herself. Before her mother died, she taught her everything that she knew about witch craft. After her mother died, she studied almost constantly, and is now one of the most powerful witches of her time. She doesn't use the magic as much as should could though, only in extreme circumstances. She feels as though using it in everyday life for everything would be kind of like cheating. She does still practice her magic, but doesn't use it to do everyday tasks.

    Damien Ross

    Age: 251 (19)

    Height: Average, 5’7”-5’9”

    Skin tone: Very pale.

Hair: Dark, sandy blond, Short modern

    Eyes: Deep red,

    Face: Sophisticated, slightly angular

Body type: Medium build, muscular, but not overly so.

    Significant qualities: Vampire

Characteristics/History: Extroverted. He has a strong sense of responsibility for his brother. Playful. He enjoys his life, and treats being a vampire as a gift rather than a curse. He feeds on humans, but refuses to kill anyone. He was born in 1758 to a poor farming family in America. He was basically the only one in his family who accepted his brother for his mental disabilities. He was changed by his brother when he was 19 in 1777. After living over 200 years he has developed a keen sense of reading people. (not mind reading) He meets Evelyn when she is being attacked by his brother Matthew. Because his brother made him, he is able to sense when he is near.

PS: please don't tell me the vampire thing is over done, i have heard it all already and i don't care. Also don't tell me my characters are like Twilight, because i have read the books and i know that they are not.

Thanks for any help!Help with my story please?
To help get the metaphorical ball rolling for me, I do several character development exercises. I pick one of the characters, put them in a situation (It really does not matter what the situation is. It can be completely outlandish if you'd like) and write a paragraph or two from that person's POV. Really delve into the characters psyche and find out what they would do in a situation. Usually after doing that for one or two characters, the writers block dissapears enough to at least get started. I think I heard somewhere that it takes ten minutes of writing for your brain to actually register the fact that you're writing. *shrug*. As far as what you've got going so far, I'm not a big fan, but that's more personal preference than anything else (not that the ideas themselves are bad). Best of luck to you though.Help with my story please?
Listen to some horrifying music or watch something similar to change your mood, which usally give lots of ideas that you can't stop writing.
Wow. Id love to read the book. i love vampires and have read twilight. your characters are very original and complex :) I dont know if this is too extreme but mabe Mathew could turn on Damien?? sorry if i wasnt help
Give it some thought, sleep on it, and think, write ideas, and it will come to you :)
Woah!! That sounds really cool!!! I think maybe Matthew and Damien should fight (not like fist fight but a fight with harsh words) for the first time in the book/story. Its not really a problem but i thought maybe it would help. I've read the Twilight saga too and I agree with you; your characters are nothing like the ones in Twilight.

  • Does Permanent Hair Straightening cause permanent hair damage and hair loss?

I got a Permanent/Japanese Hair straightening service back in Dec08 and in Feb 09 highlights......since than I have had a lot of hair damage and hair loss. I used to have very long healthy wavy hair and the only reason why I straightened my hair was because of my wedding and honeymoon and I didn鈥檛 want to deal with bow drying or styling my hair. The first 2 months after my treatment my hair looked amazing. My hair used to be 24-30 inches long now its around 15 inches and extremely thinned out!

Is this hair loss temporary? I am hoping my hair will be back to normal in 2-3 years. (considering hair grows half inch every month) Will my new hair be nice thick and wavy the way I had it? Or does this service cause permanent hair loss and damage?Does Permanent Hair Straightening cause permanent hair damage and hair loss?
    yes! it is possible!

What are th reasons for a woman's hair to fall out (not all but for the hair to thin)?

I lost a lot of hair after childbirth, and then stress but not sure why this causes hair loss?

I went to a naturopath and had a mineral analysis - after taking iron, magnesium, silica and potassium my hair has started to grow back - or may be it is because I have less stress? I'd like to know what it was so it doesn't happen again. I am stopping taking the minerals now! What are th reasons for a woman's hair to fall out (not all but for the hair to thin)?

not only my and my husband`s own personal experience
Hair loss is caused by many reasons such as malnutrition, illness, tension and other health problems.Perming, straightening, hair dyeing and bleaching ,hot combing, using heated rollers and hot wax inevitably damage the hair.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

In general, Why cancer chemical therapy causes hair loss.?

Mechanically, how does that happen ?

and overall how the chemical treatment of cancer work on the cancer cells ?In general, Why cancer chemical therapy causes hair loss.?
Formation of hair involves division of cells, as do growth of cancers. Briefly chemotherapy inhibits division of cells, thereby preventing formation of new hair. We shed hair all the time, and consequently hair loss is greater than hair formation during chemotherapy. When the treatment is over hair formation becomes normal again. In general, Why cancer chemical therapy causes hair loss.?
Cancer cells are rapidly dividing abnormal cells. Chemotherapy drugs are cyto-toxic meaning they target cell division and especially target rapidly dividing cells, killing them off.

Chemo also kills off healthy cells, unfortunately. Hair, stomach and intestine as well as other more rapidly dividing cells in the body are also damaged by these drugs, which is why your hair falls out during treatment. Once treatment stops, these cells grow back (hopefully there are no remaining cancer cells to grow back after treatment).

That is about as simple an explanation as I can give.
better search in google because there is very many causes!

One word that comes to mind here:

    Twilight.Help with my story please!?
I love your characters! And you are not copying Twilight. Sorry... I don't know about the plot. But since you seem to have well developed characters maybe think of what genre you want to do and other little things like the setting before the plot.
why are girls in love with vampires? While reading this i thought i was reading the back of twilight. There is way better books out there. Hemmingway, Palinuk, Stephin King.

    READ SOMETHING GOOD
That sounds really good. It seems like you have been developing your characters well. I want to read more :)
Okay, well, since he's teh antagonist, he's the main bad guy. He's the one that causes all of the problems, he's the one the protagonist has to defeat.

I'm not sure if you have a plot or not, but you should. I think you need to come up with the plot before the characters, because your characters have to be suited for the plot, and its also much harder to fit a plot around characters. Is there a reason that your antagonist is a vampire... or did you just throw that in there? what does being a vampire add to your plot? to your character? could your book be written without the bad guy being a vampire? These are just some questions I think you should ask yourself. It may help you come up with a conflict.

do you have any other antagonists? I'm just wondering, because you said that you don't want him to cause any action that's too extreme. So is he just a subplot, or does the central conflict revolve around him and his brother fighting? If the latter is true, then it needs to be extreme. I'm not saying ';blow up the world'; extreme, but it does need to grab your readers attention and keep them itnerested throughout the whole book. You have to make it seem like the protagonist won''t succeed, that there's no way for him to succeed.

Okay, I asked more questions in there than I answered, :) but hopefully I gave you some things to think about or some ideas. I don't think I could tell you what type of conflict you should have because its your book, you'll have to spend a ton of time writing it, and no one on here knows what you'd like to write about.

Next part of your question (I know, this is going to be a long answer)

The characters. they're very well developed from my point of view. You've got personalities, and not just physical characteristics (like so many other people on here have) so that's really good :)

One thing though. You don't list on here why. Why is the antagonist introverted before he's changed? why is he extroverted after? there have to be reasons to these things. I suggest going through your character profiles and asking why at every sentence. If you have an answer, good, then move on. if you don't, come up with one, write it down, and then move on to the next sentence. This will help develop your characters background and maybe even help you think up a conflict.

Okay, I'm done. I hope I could help. I know, I didn't really answer your question, but I tried to steer you in the direction of your answer. I'm not sure if I made much sense, its pretty late here, but again, i tried :)

Good luck and happy conflict developing/writing :)
Maybe you could have the antagonist reveal that he secretly trapped and entombed some girl they both loved and knew (another vampire) from way back in the past, and he's planning to dig her up now and use her to destroy Damien's current relationship. But he doesn't know how her attitude will be after being trapped for centuries, and although she was a good girl when he entombed her, she may be very angry and evil now.

    Or...

There's some amulet in the Middle East that would enable them to exist in the sunlight (or prevent them from sleeping at night or something) and Damien is trying to find it, and Matthew is chasing him and his girlfriend across the world trying to beat them to the discovery to use for his own evil purposes. During the chase, they all end up in a cargo plane that is damaged during flight and is going to crash in the desert during a sandstorm...

(Best I could do on short notice...Good job with the story...keep up the good work...you'll be a great writer some day...)
