21 year old 1 month ago started hair loss?

no receding hairline, constant shedding for the past couple weeks, two thinning spots on the top of my head, random appearance of dandruff.

I'm 21, and the last person to ever expect this would happen to me...i have (or had, now that its cut short) wavy hair. Some time not to long ago i started shedding hair when taking showers. it wasn't too bad at first, i found it pretty normal in fact...my hair was long/shaggy i knew some hairs would fall out, and always have. but when they started falling by the second with every hand stroke i knew something was wrong. i was using a smooth and silky shampoo, and i had a feeling that hairs cant stand being too smooth and silky, it only makes breakage easy for it. so over the days i started shedding more till i finally cut my hair, when i did, i had a feeling i was gona find something undesirable, low and be hold, i found 2 thinning spots. it isn't that bad as many people said....';one looks like a birth mark, and the other looks like a colic (how ever it is spelled)';..';its normal, thats usually where the top and the back part'; ..';it just looks like the barber trimmed a little too much off the corner';....i'v always had an obsession with my hair ever since i was a little kid...i know every inch of my head from top to bottom...and that thinning part was never there. so to get to the point, the Dr. that i went to said ';this and that, those and these'; i had a feeling i learned alot more about balding over the past week then he did in medical school. When he said to me ';Wow, you did alot of reading'; i told him ';yeah, balding is a crisis i can not live with';. i started telling him about hair transplants, and basically i was focusing on an answer for a permanent solution...he kept on saying, no its too soon, your too young and you have a full head of hair';. then he said heres a prescription for a hair re-growth product'; and i said ';Rogaine right? or Propecia?';. I wanted to squeeze every ounce of information out of him...it was hard though because i knew as a doctor his job was to diagnose the problem and prescribe a common FDA approved product. he's not a scientist, or a researcher. General doctors are like sheep scattered all across the world, they all read the same med books and they all come to the same common conclusion.

lets just end this ';i need help, i'm confused'; rant by ASKING questions.

questions

1. what are the chances of me not going bald...pattern style that is.

2. my uncle has a bald spot but no receding hairline....alot like what i'm going through..but i dont think he really did anything to prevent it. will be able to do a good job preventing it, seeing as how advanced science has come in this particular field.

3. If i start using rogaine, which i guess i have to, will it cause me to go more bald in other places if i stop using it at one point in time.

4. what is a permanent solution fit for my case? i really would like one, money hopefully is not an issue...i dont mind going bald in my 50's or 60's but as of now and in the near future i really do mind it.

btw, i live in kuwait...medical hospitals and Dr.'s are paid and provided by the government.21 year old 1 month ago started hair loss?
1 - 99.9% chance of going bald

2 - you could get hair transplants (not worth it in my opinion)

3 - idk

4 - the only permanent fix i think is getting transplants,

or you could start shaving you head and nobody will notice that you're balding :P21 year old 1 month ago started hair loss?
If baldness runs in your family then there's a very good chance that you will go bald too. The only way to prevent male pattern baldness is by taking medication. The only treatments that have been proven to work in stopping or slowing hair loss associated with male pattern baldness is finasteride, dutasteride, and minoxidil. Be very skeptical of herbal supplements and alternative medicine you may have read about because they haven't been proven to work in human clinical studies.
Rogain is a trap product that u have to keep using or u lose more hair.

Try Biotin, it's a vitamin. My mom recommends it to her customers at her beauty shop. It works 99% of the time even on cancer patients and as long as the hair follicle isn't dead you should be okay.

Hope it helps if u decide to try it : )
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.

1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..

2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.

3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..

4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.

5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
as thinning hair and loss of hair can be caused by underlying medical problems such as hormonal imbalance, thyroid etc if it was me I would be asking the Dr. for some blood work to rule out these things - not an unreasonable request! ..genetics does play a role but it's not necessarily true you will go bald - my dad and his 2 brothers were all bald, one of my brothers is bald , one is not, I'm OK ...of my cousins some are some aren't!... so where does that leave you? stress can play a factor and bad /poor nutrition so make sure you are doing what you need to for those things.. harsh chemicals in shampoos can be a problem - see link below- and chlorine in shower water (you might need a filter) -- good luck and I hope this helps..
