Help!!!!!! My hair sheds and I know it's not hair loss cuz I'm thirteen?

I'll wring my hair out after I shower. Then I slide my hand down my hair. When I look at my hand, there are about 5 or more strands of hair in it. It always grows back. But I'm tired of it. Is there a certian way I should wring it out?

And speaking of Hair does thinning your hair cause split ends?Help!!!!!! My hair sheds and I know it's not hair loss cuz I'm thirteen?

Hi Jenifer

Is your hair falling out excessively? Remedies for female hair loss

It is estimated that twenty-five million women in America alone suffer from hair loss or female pattern baldness. Although on the surface female hair-loss may resemble male pattern baldness, it is actually quite different structurally. Women lose their hair for many reasons, including genetics, hormones, and even stress. So, what do you do if you find yourself in this same situation? Here are a few tips to keep the hair that you have, and to help re-grow the hair that you have lost:

1. Massage your scalp often.

Anytime that you shampoo your hair you should use scalp friendly, non-drying shampoo that clarifies and frees your hair of residue buildup. Take an extra couple of minutes to massage your scalp while in the shower or bath. You can also use warm olive oil, or oil specifically designed for scalp use. The massage will stimulate the hair follicles, promoting hair growth.

2. Keep your hair free.

A symptom of hair loss is fragile hair, so you need to keep your hair free from chemicals or high heat. Also, you should trim your hair often, and use styling products sparingly. Try to cut your hair where you are able to wear it down. Barrettes and ponytail holders can cause significant damage even to healthy hair.

I hope this help in something.

Have a nice day Jenifer
Hair falling out is just a fact of life. If you're so worried about it, then try a shampoo that will strengthen it; Garnier is a good option.

Thinning out your hair does not cause split ends. Split ends are caused by high heat hair dryers and straighteners. They're also caused by dyeing your hair often and prolonged exposure to sunlight.
That is completely normal just keep your hair in healthy state..

your hair is made up of dead cells mainly proteins, much of the credit for healthy hair goes to your diet intake and not what you apply externally..

Include fish, eggs, beans and yogurt in your diet,Soy protein has also been found to be helpful in stimulating hair growth.

cover your hair while your hair is exposed to extreme sunlight and pollution..
That is not a lot of hair loss. Chances are your hair loss is normal.
Instead of wringing it out with your hands, try a more gentle method I do with my towel. I lay the towel over my head and kinda scrunch it in my hair, then I twist up the towel and hold it for a few seconds. That gets a lot of the water out and the rest air dries in a bit. Hope this helps! Answer mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?
This is normal, it happens to many girls. Ummm I don't think thinning your hair causes split ends, but i know if you straighten, curl, or blow dry your hair frequently it can cause split ends.
you're supposed to lose hair everyday, it's normal

i lose alot everyday and my mom is a hairstylist and says it's normal :)
Everyone loses aboiut 100 strands of hair everyday, believe it or not.
if you lose ~100 strands per day that it is very normal and you do not have to worry about it!
That happens to me allll the time. its normal.
First of all, everyone loses approximately 80 hairs off their head per day. If you brush your hair just before you get into the shower, those hairs will be on the brush and not come off on your hand when you do that afterwards. It's just your natural hair shedding, don't even worry about it, serious. You're only noticing it because your already-shedded hairs were just staying in place, mixed in or tangled into your hair a bit and hadn't actually fallen down from your head of hair yet.

After a shower, please do NOT ';Wring'; out your hair, good grief lady! LOL that is totally bad for your hair, and here is why: when you wring it out, you are twisting it and stretching it, and hairs can get damaged and snap in half where tight pressure is put on it deep in a tight twist. The correct way to towel-dry your hair is to take the towel and gently squeeze it along the length of your hair, NEVER RUBBING the towel on your head. The reason we don't rub the towel on the hair is because that back-and-forth action damages the hair's outer cuticle. Think of a hair as fish-scales. All the scales go in one direction (down). When you rub back and forth, the cuticle (like scales) are forced to go in the opposite direction, and this makes the hair damaged and more breakage. So, just stick with gently squeezing the dry towel along the length of your hair, and let it air-dry the rest of the way, if you want to maintain nice healthy shiny hair! :)

Thinning your hair doesn't actually cause split ends, but here's the catch. When you ';thin'; your hair, just like layered hair, you've then got hair that is all different lengths. When hair is all-one-length, and you have split ends, you trim off the bottom, and your head of hair suddenly looks all healthy. When you have thinned or layered hair and it needs a trim because of split ends, your whole head looks fuzzy, not just the bottom/longest hairs. That's because you've got shorter hairs with split ends poking out all over your head. With layered hair, a good trim can fix this. With ';thinned'; hair, because no absolute cutting pattern was followed when thinning (like it would be in a layered cut), there is really no way to trim all the shorter pieces within a longer hairstyle once you get split ends. If you must thin your hair, I HIGHLY reccomend taking EVERY precaution to NOT use heat tools or damaging your hair in any way. Because once thinned hair gets split ends unless you get a really short haircut, there's no real way to rid yourself of each and every split end once you get them.

Hope that's not too confusing! :) Good luck. And don't worry about the hair loss, it's really nothing. Just be gentle with the towel there honey :)
