For just over a year i've been losing 4-7 eyebrows daily..this ofcourse has added up and left patches in my eyebrow..particularly the inner sides, aswell as removed my confidence.
It's dermatitis that's causing the eyebrow loss..skin under the eyebrows not so much flaking but sticking and oily..almost pushing out the eyebrows.
I'd like to hear from anybody who's suffered from the same thing and what treatments they've explored and got results from.. anything that cuts back the loss of the eyebrows.
I should note that i've had dermatitis on my scalp for the past 7 years..which i've treated with various coal tar shampoo's, creams ect. Just like the hairs on my scalp, the eyebrows do slowly grow back (taking several months longer to do so).. then dishearteningly fallout again. And it's got to the stage now where its very noticeable.
Lately i've been placing aloe vera over them...which seems to leave the skin clearer but eyebrows sticky, and still losing my 4 per day min. I've also used apple cider (again sticky), nizoral, other coal tar shampoo's.
I've visited the doctor several times during this year, thyroid, iron, blood, are all fine.Do you suffer from dermatitis causing eyebrow loss?
I think you should be seen by a specialist dermatologist (a doctor specialised in skin conditions). There could be many reasons why you are losing eyebrows. I don't want to be alarmist, but my mother discovered recently she had Lupus, which does affect hair - she's lost a lot of her wimpers, eyebrows and around the frame of her head. Lupus can be controlled, but it could also affect internal organs, so have it checked out, even if this is probably not what you are suffering with. Go to your doctor and discuss with him/her.Do you suffer from dermatitis causing eyebrow loss?
i have the same thing with ,my eyebrow, i dont know how to fix it, but if you find out can you tell me too!? not to mention im a 17 yr old girl so it really sucks =/
