Pregnancy hair loss help please?

Hi i have been having hair loss since 2-3 months after i had my Lovely baby boy ;) he is now 5 months and it is still coming out, it is starting to get noticeable at the front and side of my head, is this normal to go on this long and to show in these places


please help im getting worried now ;(

year ago (after my second baby) I suffered very much from dandruff and hair loss too and I started trying everything you can imagine to stop my hair loss.


the things that really worked for me was:





1) Vitamin A - an anti-oxidant which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp;





2) Vitamin E stimulates circulation. Good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping hair follicles productive. The 'B' vitamins contribute to melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and also stimulates blood circulation;





3) massage is also beneficial. Massage stimulates circulation. As already noted, good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Experts suggest a few minutes of daily head massage by hand. Circulation through massage may be improved by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base with massage;





4) Try rubbing your scalp with garlic juice, Onion Juice or Ginger Juice(you can either of one out of three, Do not mix any of two or three);





5) also I used herbal treatment - Provillus (do not use Rogaine - it can cause unwanted hair growth elsewhere on the body)


It is a good products that helps prevent hair loss and contains Biotin and the clinically tested ingredients approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.! I think it is very important!

During the post-partum period, hormones drop and hair is shed in the previous amounts. As thinning of hair after pregnancy is caused due to hormonal imbalance, it sorts out by itself once you have delivered. You can take tips from other new moms who have already been through that phase.





If you are worried about looking good after pregnancy, you might consult your stylist or doctor.





Natural remedies usually include natural botanicals such as Nettle or Saw Palmetto which are good for curbing the condition and promoting growth. My hairstylist had this problem. She has two kids, and she said that after each was born she lost a little more hair. I'm not sure if breastfeeding may be causing it at all, but she has fake boobs and didn't breastfeed.





She said her doctor explained that in prep for having a baby mothers take lots and lots of vitamins. Sometimes they stop just before the baby is born, or when the baby is born. Have you taken prenatal vitamins and now stopped? Especially if you are breastfeeding, you can still take those! My daughter is 2 and I still take them - Lots of good stuff in there, and makes hair, nails and complexion great!





I would also raise the concern with your doctor, as it may be a sign of underlying issues, or they may know some other things that can cause it.
Nothing to do with breastfeeding its hormonal. After my sons birth my hair went from red to dark auburn and came out for about 6 months. Then it all went back to normal. Be careful with the blow drying and don't colour it. If too worried see your Doctor or talk to your Health Visitor.
try hair oil; it really works! put it on at nite before bed and wake up and shampoo it off. usually coconut hair oil works the best but try others to suit ur hair
