Peroxide,store bought on hair?

What will store bought peroxide do to your hair?

Im always looking it up , some say its completely okay and wont do anyting to your hair but other ones are saying its terrible and causes hair loss.

I really want a lighter color of brown , and some blonde streaks too

i have some bleached parts in my hair right now , and my hairs a medium brown with pink tint.Peroxide, store bought on hair?
personally i belive its just about weather you know what your doing, for example ive bleached my fringe and toned it to white and its in pretty good condition, its a bit dry but that comes along with the consof bleaching. some people havent got the slightest and bleach there hair notice its still gingery or what not, and go over it the same day, which will most probably result in hair loss.

so basically read up alot if you wish to do it yourself, i mean look for the most appropriate things to use, ive heard if you want your blonde highlights bleach blonde ''shimmerlights'' purple shampoo is good, and if you 'dont live in america, then i recomend ''swartzcough'' sliver shampoo which is also purple.

remember if you want a lighter brown then you will have to bleach your hair colour first, because putting colour over colour does NOT make it lighter,

in all if this sounds like a mission, i'd just go to a salon (:Peroxide, store bought on hair?
The peroxide you buy in the drugstore is medical strength and will not bleach anything including your hair. It's for the cleaning of cuts and abrasions.

If you're in the US, you'd have to have a cosmetology license to go into a beauty supply store to buy the strength that hairdressers use.

Best bet, go to a hair stylist and have it done. That way you're not risking burning your hair off at the scalp, getting scalp burns or just ruining your hair in general. Especially since you already have color on your hair. This is not a do it yourself project!
