New to Make Up? [Pics]?

So I'm going to be a freshman in high school within the next few weeks, and the rule was no make up till high school. Well now that it is here, I'm at a loss as to what the basics that I'll need, and what colors would go well with my skin tone and eyes, and just in general how to put them on correctly. My skin is very Pale, and my eyes are green sometimes blue.

On another note, I recently got myself some contacts and so what I'm asking is any precautions about eye make up and contacts?

I also heard that liquid liner is better than the pencil because it causes wrinkles due to the pulling of skin, confirms or denies would be great!

Thanks!

Wow your eyes are awesome. I hate liquid. Plus its harder to get off contacts if it gets in your eyes. I prefer pencil. So many out there are crappy. Get revlon soft stroke. It looks like this

Ok lets start with the eyeliner first. Only use a thin line on your eyelid. Most wear it on their water line but that isn't smart. Especially when your wearing contacts. The minerals that the pencil is made of can and will get into your eyes, which will irritate them. Just be safe and put it one the top lid. It looks more classy anyways. For your eyes. I'd say brown, purple, grey, black or a dark green would be nice. Avoid bright colors.

Now for eyeshadow. For now just use one tone. Again use darker colors. Don't go too dark but don't use extremely bright colors either. They will take away from your eyes and instead of making your eyes pop they make them less noticeable. Once you get use to the one tone start using 2 or 3 different colors. My fave combo is a golden base color, black in the eyelid crease(blended of course) then at the corner of my eyes a dark blue.(Blended inwards of course) You need to know how to blend before you go outside with it on of course. If you don't know how to put it on and blend properly it can look very bad.

For your lashes use lash blast with a tint of blue. It looks like this.

Its not extremely blue but there is a hint of it. It comes in other colors but defiantly get the hint of blue. I think its called blue royal or something like that.

You don't need any blush, foundation, powder or anything of the sort. You have a very clear complexion. Oh and if or when you start to break out just use a dab of concealer and some powder. Don't use foundation. Foundation is for evening out skin tones. Not covering up blemishes. Use neurtogena products when you need to. Use the ones for blemish control so you don't break out with more when you do use it.

For your lips use this color. Its so beautiful. Its a bit more but Mary kay lip sticks and lip glosses are worth it.

It looks dark but it really isn't that dark on.

The gloss

There are more choices but those would complement your skin tone. Your about the same skin tone as I am.New to Make Up? [Pics]?
Oh my gosh, I would say don't wear make up, your sooo beautiful with out it, but if you want to make your eyes pop a bit more, just get some black mascara and look up tutorials on how to put it on theres plenty of those on youtube. but seriously mascara is enough for you, you are so beautiful without it. I wish i never started wearing a lot of it because people get used to you with it, then if you miss a day its like ';ewwww uglyy'; lol.
no not really liquid eye liner is way more difficult to put on and is usually only for the top of your eyelids

i think you shud only get black mascara eyeliner and some concealer for your eye circles

but ur skin is flawless so you really don't need any powder and it'll prolly jus make u break out so yea
I agree, you shouldn't wear too much make up when you're already pretty with great skin! PLEASE don't ever abuse the use of eyeliner and mascara. It's really gross looking when u see girls with spider legs for eyelashes and it just looks all chunky and smeared around the eyes. Save heavier make up for dances and special dates to catch attention. =D
i use bare minerals makeup

its really good and doesn'tt clog pours and it comes out really smooth just don't use a lot on the website you can also figure out what skin tone you are and its really great...

and ive noticed a lot of girls with your eye color look really good with black eyeliner...i use ...

Revlon color stay

your so pretty without it that you should not start wearing it! once you do you and everyone else will be used to you with makeup and you won't look as pretty with out it..and plus guys love natural looks better than makeup. but if you insist on wearing any please just go with blush, lip gloss and mascara. a nice pink blush would look good on you.

btw you don't look like a freshman lol
Start with a soft black eye liner and some mascara. You have beautiful eyes so you should bring them out! And a soft pink lip gloss would be more than enough for you :D You have a great complexion so don't worry about foundation and powder.
wow... you're super pretty :) I would keep it natural. a bit of stick concealer on your shadows (if you have any) a touch of mineral powder foundation. a peachy blush. and a tiny bit of liner/mascara. But really not much of ANYTHING. trust me
oh gosh girl you look soo like emily browning! your beautifil no no makeup! your gorgeous
oh i have almost the same color eyes except mine are usually blue and sometimes green (:

anyyyyways...

you definatly need mascara (i lovvvve covergirl lashblast) and i use like retractible eye liner which is close to pencil except you dont have to sharpen it. liquid eyeliner is okay but i wear liner on the bottom and it dosent work well for me, buuuut its your choice hunn. as for eye shadow for green eyes purples and violets will bring out your eyes (dont go toooo dark or heavy because girls who do that look SCARYY haa)

for tecniques on how to do these you can go to youtube or look it up because it probly wouldnt make any sence if i told ya sorrrry.

bttttw, you have big pretty eyes so these are your key featureee, dont go to hard on your lips because that will draw attention away from your great eyes (:

sorry this is sooo long, but hope it helps and goood luck.

(:katie.
ur really pretty! here are some things u should get, since u shouldnt go all out with makeup as a freshman:

- mascara; i like lashblast

- eyeliner; and about the liquid liner, it mite be true but i think a regular liner that glides on easily would be better since its less dramatic, and easier to apply for touchups

- chapstick; burts bees beeswax lipbalm!

- a lip gloss. i like to use a one thats a shade darker than my lip shade (just a teenny bit darker); liplicious and covergirl wetslicks amazemint!!!

- the only face product i recommend would be a light PEACHY blush, but nothing too dramatic. blush compliments pale skin, so i dont suggest getting bronzer!

good luck! im going to high school too!
im a freshman too, and ive done my make-up like this since 6th grade. i think it will be a bit difficult for a beginner though :p

so i suggest to just wear a bit of eyeliner on the top of your lid and a bit on your water line. [which i did ocassionally in 4th grade and everyday in 5th]

or anime eyes because i think you can really pull it off.

anime eye tutorial [NOT done by me btw]

Well if I were you I wouldn't even start wearing makeup you look fine without it. But, if you insist I also wear contacts there are really no drawbacks with makeup just wear as everyone else just make sure to not get any makeup on your contacts or it will bug. I am going to have to deny the eyeliner myth because wearing any type of eyeliner can cause wrinkles it just depends on the way you put it on I wear liquid, gel, and pencil eyeliner and I never pull my eyelids when I put any of them on. Well since you're a freshman I would just say that you wear mascara and blush also because you have dark hair and light eyes you should wear very little eye makeup because your eyes already stand out very much and blush to give you color(I am pale too). As for if you want to wear any face makeup(which I recommend you don't yet) I would just use a tinted moisturizer and a concealer(only for imperfections) since you're still very young keep it natural but if you are looking into eyeliner I would say using a smear proof gel eyeliner would be best because it is easy to apply. hope it helped!
You're very pretty! I recommend starting out with mascara, as it will help bring out your eyes more. Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara from Sephora is my favorite, but it's $20 so a cheaper one that's good is the Pulsating Mascara for around $10. If you want foundation, I would use bare minerals or another light, mineral foundation. Liquid concealer for break outs, cream for under eye circles....(smashbox and MAC have good ones), neutral brown eyeshadows (MAC are the best... if you can only get one get glamour check! from the love that look collection) ermmm and maybe a light lipgloss or tinted chapstick. Sorry if this is overwhelming, but you can start with as little or as much as you'd like.
