I am a 25 year old female who had a baby 5 months ago. For the last 3 moths i have been having an extreme amount of hair loss. It doesn't come out in clumps but almost every time i run my hand through my hair i lose 3-6 strands. I normally have very thick hair but it is becoming noticeably thinner. Also i have had pain in my scalp. Ive been to the dr about this and they diagnosed a scalp infection and said the loss could be caused by hormones from the pregnancy. They also ran blood work and prescribed iron supplements and a antibiotic for the infection. After 1 month i still have the pain and hair loss. Can anyone help me, im really afraid im going to keep losing hair until im bald. Please help...Hair loss in 25 year old female?
This is very common among mothers. In fact even my OWN mom had this hair loss problem after I was born loooong time ago. This is caused by hormonal changes that occurred during the pregnancy.
You should talk to your doctor about hair loss treatments. The only major problem I see is that pain you have.... You should NOT have a pain what so ever.... But I don't know your medical history to give you a proper answer. I recommended hat you go and see your doc as well as a dermatologist.
FYI,
We are in Canada. My mom get some medicine from US. There are a lot of medicines for hair loss in the US market. I am sure that you will find something that works for you. Sometimes it is trial and error. Anyway, please get a check up on your scalp infection.Hair loss in 25 year old female?
Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.
1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..
2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.
3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..
4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.
5. Beat two eggs, and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes. Then wash it.
You have what is known as Telogen hair effluvium (shedding) or temporary. but, then it may continue in a select few if not curbed.
There are several treatment options that may help to stimulate and encourage hair growth. If hair loss occurs as a result of an underlying condition or disease, then the condition needs to be treated first. The various types of hair loss are treated with specific medication which includes antibiotics, corticosteroids, or steroid injections. For more serious episodes of hair loss, surgical procedures such as hair transplants, scalp reduction or skin grafts may be performed to replace hair loss.
Natural and holistic therapy offers a gentler alternative for people experiencing hair loss than the harsh effects of conventional medication. Treatments such as herbal and homeopathic remedies stimulate and encourage hair growth as well as support blood circulation, hormonal balance and thyroid functioning.
Herbal remedies along with good nutritional diet (supplements in case of severe deficiency or if directed by your doctor) help hair grow stronger and more plentifully by nourishing it at the roots. They achieve this by stimulating blood flow and supplying nutrients to the hair follicles and hence promoting healthy hair growth and slowing down excessive hair loss. Although the process begins within a few days, as the hair grow slowly, the results are visible only after a few months.
Herbs commonly used include Ginkgo biloba, Rosmarinus officinale and Xanthoxylum clavaherculis help to promote strong, abundant hair. Other powerful herbs such as Equisetum arvense, Avena sativa and Echinacea are effective combating hair loss and nourishing hair follicles.

Good Luck!
Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they've had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones and stress.
Anyway you definitely can do something about it, I assure you that you can halt your hair loss. :)
Also it's not genetic, even though dht does cause damage, but only because the follicle is weakened by the poor circulation who is uncapable of 'flushing' toxines.
After about two years of searching through the web and finding only scam artists selling ebooks with fake solutions, I found the ONLY site that is genuine and works, it teaches you how to exercise in order to increase the blood flow to your scalp and halt your hair loss for ever. :)
This is not a scam, I would never cheat on somebody who is facing the same issues that I had.
Losing hair is hard enough without being ripped off...
It also has videos that are really powerful and speak for themselves.
This is the ONLY genuine site about hairloss on the web, I'm not kidding.
Not one bit.
I experienced this for myself.

It works, and it's not a scam like Provillus or other c**ap (sorry, but I tried Propecia and Rogain with little results, and I know what I'm talking about. I quit using them because they were harming my health, this stuff is not only ineffective on the long term, but also dangerous).
All the best,
M.
