Hair thinning only on right side of head?

Okay, here's the thing. I've apparently got this problem with my hair thinning out on only the right side of my head. It's not just on one part of the right side. The whole right side from front to back seems to be thinner than the left one now. I had never heard of such a thing happening, but then I searched on Google for ';hair thinning on one side of head'; and found a lot of people saying that it's happened to them too.

Also, I know this is not just the result of a bad haircut because I have this vacuum haircutting machine called RoboCut that you can set to cut your hair a certain length and it sucks your hair up like a vacuum with blades spinning at the top and you just run it all over your head and it cuts your hair all the same length. There's ways you can do different styles with it too, but I just like to have all my hair the same length, and that's also by far the easiest thing you can do with it, and that's what I do with it. I know the length I like it to be at and have it set to that number and just run it over my head about once a month to keep it that length.

Anyway, everything was fine until recently I've been noticing that the hair on the right side of my head isn't as thick as the left side anymore. I've never had that problem before. I don't know why it's happening now.

Well, I've been reading some about it on some of the results I got from Google and some people are saying that hair thinning on just one side of your head like that might mean that you have cancer, and on another site, a doctor said that chronic stress can cause temporary hair loss but that it should grow back later. He was saying this in response to someone who was describing the same problem and saying that he was working late-night shifts and was under a lot of stress and wasn't getting much sleep. I've been working at a hotel for the past two and a half years and ever since then I've worked night audit every Monday and Tuesday night, which is from eleven o'clock at night to seven o'clock in the morning. I don't consider it stressful, though, because I actually like that shift better than first and second shift there, which I also work every week. I like doing the night audit because it's almost always nice and quiet and not many people come in during that time so it's just me and my paperwork to worry about and that's it, which I like a lot because paperwork never talks back or gets a bad attitude with you or anything like that. Now, not getting much sleep is sometimes a problem because like I said, I work Monday and Tuesday nights from eleven o'clock PM to seven o'clock AM and I also will do different day shifts during the same week, and first shift is from seven AM to three o'clock PM and second shift is from three o'clock to eleven o'clock PM. My boss doesn't like to have me work a double or only have eight hours in between shifts to rest, but just the fact of having to change my sleeping schedule from a night schedule to a day schedule every week does cause me to lose out on some sleep sometimes, although I don't require a lot of sleep to feel good and I don't really mind it being like that. Usually I feel totally fine after about four or five hours, sometimes six. It's kind of rare that I actually feel like sleeping eight hours.

The job itself on any shift almost always isn't very stressful, though. The most stressful part of it is dealing with my very controlling boss, but not having to see my boss is something else I like about doing night audit.

Anyway, the point is, I really, *really* want to do something to make the hair on the right side of my head get back to it's normal thickness. It's driving me crazy being like this. I'm the type that can obsess about small things anyway, but this is really, really driving me crazy. I'm only a 28-year-old male too, but I'm pretty healthy and am a vegetarian, although I do eat eggs and drink milk and eat cheese and stuff like that, but no meat, and yes, chicken and fish *are* meat. I also drink a lot of orange juice, not from concentrate and without having ';filtered water'; in it as a filler, and always keep my levels of vitamin C high and eat wheat bread instead of white and of course eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and whatnot, and I still get plenty of protein because I eat a lot of eggs, preferably scrambled, and in case you don't know, eggs are like the most soluble protein, which means basically that your body uses it better than other proteins. I'm also thin and walking is my main form of transportation, including when I go to work, which takes about a half an hour, and going into town, which is like three miles away, which takes about an hour at my fast, steady pace. I've always been thin, though, even back when I wasn't walking a whole lot and when I still ate meat. I have a high metabolism. People also always think that I'm like 18 instead because I look so young, especially right after I've just shaved my face.

Take a B-Complex tablet daily to promote healthy hair growth. It is NOT an ovenite miracle - but - over time you will tell a noticeable difference.
hey. I have the same problem as you. I noticed it when I was 16. Now i am 25. I think it has something to do with the blood circulation, the right side of my head and my face feel different. I have seen dermatologist, and they tell me that it's male pattern hair loss, I know it isn't. I have seen neurologist, they can't see ****.

my left side of the head still has the original thickness, but right side is way lesser. though I still have the hair but it's bothering me. And I know the right side is getting lesser as time goes by.

just one crucial question, do you have any finger injury? please be specific about it.
