Cats with mites NOT in the ear?

I think my poor cat has mites. At first I thought he was just getting into fights with his brother when we werent home, but after a week of separation the condition seems worse!! He has what I thought were abrasions on his face between the area of his ear, and eyes. It doesnt seem to be IN his ear, but mostly around his eyes and just between the fur from eye to ear area. How do I treat this? I dont see any bugs, but its scabyish, and seems to be causing hair loss.Cats with mites NOT in the ear?
it is a possibility of mites, you cannot treat this only a veterinarian can treat it. it can be a mange mite and needs to be seen by a veterinarian for further testing of the parasite. you should have taken it to the veterinarian sooner, and when you go bring a fresh stool sample to make sure ther arent any other kinds of parasites inside your kitty =]vCats with mites NOT in the ear?
There are skin mites - it's called mange. The vet does a skin scraping and can tell for sure, you just treat with the correct medicine then and that solves it.





If it's ringworm instead, that can be treated for as well. But the vet needs to see this cat with a checkup to know what's going on. Just guessing won't get you the right answer.
Might be mange, don't touch him and take him to the vet immediately.
