Does ulcerative colitis cause hair loss?

i developed UC earlier this school year and my hair is a lot more brittle and thin looking than it used to be. my UC still isnt under control and im always tired so im assuming im not absorbing minerals or something. could this be the cause of my hair sucking?Does ulcerative colitis cause hair loss?
Yes. Probably from the disturbances of vitamin/mineral production/absorption.



Treatment for Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's disease.

Azathioprine, for example have side effects of hair loss, although less frequently encountered.
