I'm 17 years old. I am taking Synthroid, I've been on the medication for the past 2 years for my thyroid. I also just started taking Nexium for my acid reflux for 2 weeks now. But before going on that, near the end of December 2009, I havn't been eating a lot, 3 meals a day or 2 cause I don't get hungry easily. I eat breakfast at like 11am, and then I can last without being hungry till 8pm. And if i do stuff myself with food I tend to vomit, or my left side of my body feels very funny, almost like I could have diabetis. In August 2009 I weighed about 245 lbs, now I weigh 194 lbs. Recently I lost 5 pounds in like 1 week. And of coarse I have been loosing A LOT of hair. I've tried multi-vitamins for 2 months, no change at all, I have eaten a lot of fruits and vegetables too like broccoli and such everyday. I'm tierd all the time, my neck hurts, my eyes are red and I have dark circles. I can barely walk cause my legs feel so weak (I tried walking home for 2 weeks but I just don't have the strength). My memory is just plain terrible now. MY hands are sometimes always shaky. I don't know what to do... cause it's just me %26amp; my sister and she works full-time and I barley see her. My Mom is out of the country for a while %26amp; my Dad is a truck driver so I barely get to see him either. I know if i go to my doctor, he'll just say it's stress, but I'm not stressed out at all, and my doctor has already put me on 3 other perscription drugs and I;m just getting tired of this.Hair loss, shaky hands, not eating a lot, etc?
dunno, but keep it up, most dudes would rather hump a bald shakey thin chick than a hairy fat oneHair loss, shaky hands, not eating a lot, etc?
It does sound bad: Try consulting a different doctor if all the other one does is give you pills. Who knows, the perscripton drugs just might not be interacting well. Best of luck.
I dont want to freak you out here, but I had the exact same symptoms and it didn't turn out to be just stress.. Turned out alot worse.. See a doctor asap...
I have the same symptoms but I am 47, I have felt bad for years and I am on a lot more prescriptions than you. Go to a health food store and get special hair and nail vitamins, but don't expect anything real fast.I was 250 and now I am 185. I seem to be doing better on a Vegan diet. I see my doctor monthly and he adjust things as we go.
You just have to have hope and keep working at it, maybe you need an increase in your synthroid dosage.
