Has anyone noticed increased hair loss after taking fish oil or flaxseed oil?

Fish oil or flaxseed oil is great for me except for one thing..it causes a lot of hair loss....Has anyone else experienced this or could explain why this has happened? I have chatted with others who have had this happen. Anything I can take to offset this?Has anyone noticed increased hair loss after taking fish oil or flaxseed oil?
While I don't believe that yahoo answers is a good source of general health information, because of the importance of actually getting real-life professional input when warranted, it's not my opinion, based on anything I've read that increasing your omega-3 input either from fish oil or flax seed oil (omega-3 ALA) would cause increased hair loss. Hair loss can just be a sign of getting older, but I'd suggest you see a doctor if it's strikingly abnormal.





According to Wikipedia, baldness can be caused by stress, hypothyroidism, and iron deficiency, as well as a whole host of other things.





Additionally, omega-3 form Fish Oil and Flax Seed Oil is different. Omega-3 from fish oil is generally EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) fats, whereas ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) is something different that must be converted to the other two inside your body to be used.

Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall.





1.Rinse your hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea this helps hair grow..





2. A medicine rich in sulfur is also recommended as sulfur plays an important part in the structure of the hair.





3. Massage with olive oil before going to bed at night and next morning, wash off the hair gently..





4. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea.Massage well and shampoo.





5. Beat two eggs,and add two tablespoons of water to it. Rinse hair and pour the egg mixture over the hair.Massage the scalp well and leave for 10 minutes.Then wash it.
