so can i sue them? Can i sue my doctor for wrong diagnosis?
You can sue anyone for anything. Whether it's actually a valid case for a lawsuit or not is determined by the court.
My advice: don't sue. If you sue for something so trivial, you're going to look like a complete retard to everyone who hears about it.Can i sue my doctor for wrong diagnosis?
good luck!
I could have given you the right diagnosis on that one, and I was just a medical transcriptionist. If it has not been over 5 years, you can sue.
If his wrong diagnosis caused you deadly side effects or whatever, then I'd say you'd have sort of a case. But as for now, you really have no case.
Diagnosing things is a lot harder than you'd like to think, especially since many diseases have very similar symptoms.
But I really do not think you have a valid case for a lawsuit. I had a valid case last year, but decided against a law suit. We just chose a different doctor and wrote his boss a letter explaining why we no longer wanted to see him. But I had a valid case for a lawsuit because his incompetence almost caused me death.
No, a doctor gives you a diagnosis based on what they know. doctors can't know everything every case they get they have to research and do repeat check ups, just like he did with you when you went 1million times, it seems your doctor did nothing wrong except treat you very well. If it was a misdiagnosis and he began to treat you for something completely diffrerent which led to complications then yes you would have grounds to sue. But since you went and sought another opinion from another doctor and everything turned out ok you really have no grounds to sue. You could try and look like a complete jackass, but i wouldn't. Not when someones just doing there job.
